Raheem Sterling and Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola had arguments in 2021 while Sterling was a member of the Premier League team.

Author Marti Perarnau, a personal friend of Guardiola, revealed this in his most recent book, “The Pep Revolution.”

He claims that in March 2021, both men got into an altercation in Guardiola’s office, following which Sterling left.

As a result, Guardiola decided not to include him in the City team for the match against Fulham.

After Sterling was benched for a 5-2 victory over Southampton, it all started. Guardiola’s decision had irritated the England international, who then started behaving strangely.

Additionally, Perarnau has stated that a portion of Sterling’s annoyance stemmed from Guardiola’s unceasing compliments of Kevin De Bruyne and Bernardo Silva, who had been in top form for the club.

On Sunday, August 18, the two will face off at Stamford Bridge once more in an effort to earn their first points of the year.
