William Gallas, a former defender for France, believes that Manchester United and Tottenham will compete for the final slot in the Premier League top four this year.

According to Gallas, Manchester City and Arsenal are surefire winners of a Champions League spot.

He predicts that Liverpool, under new manager Arne Slot, will also place in the top four.

Gallas said: “I think it will be really competitive to finish in the top four this season.

“One thing is for sure, we know that Arsenal and Manchester City will be there, so it only leaves two places with several clubs fighting for those coveted positions.

“I think Liverpool will be in the mix. They have a new manager, but all the players understand the demands of managing both competitions.

“I would put them in the top four again for this season. I think Tottenham could be there. Manchester United could maybe be there, but I have a lot of doubts about them.”
