After Fulham’s 3-2 loss to West Ham United on Tuesday, Alex Iwobi rose to the second spot on the list of Nigerians with the most Premier League appearances.

Iwobi has now played in the English Premier League 274 times.

The 28-year-old and former Arsenal, Portsmouth, and West Bromwich Albion striker Nwankwo Kanu were previously tied for second place.

With 293 appearances, former Newcastle United striker Shola Ameobi is at the top of the list.

Iwobi made his Premier League debut in October 2015 while he was at Arsenal.

Before joining Everton, where he made 123 appearances, the dynamic midfielder played in 100 league games for the Gunners.
