Romelu Lukaku was the man that consistently showed up late for practice and games in his early days at the Premier League west London side, according to former Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel.
For a recent episode of The Obi One Podcast, Obi Mikel discussed his visit to Chelsea’s training facility, Cobham Arena.
The former Super Eagles captain said: “Someone who is always late. It was Romelu Lukaku when he came.
“Lovely guy, we had a chat and he realized that he needs to get better with time.
“And then he sorted it out, and he was fine.”
When Lukaku was a young striker, Chelsea signed him in 2011.
