Mikel Arteta, the manager of Arsenal, acknowledged that he experienced a “pain in my tummy” following the team’s late goal in Saturday’s 2-2 draw with Sunderland.

The Gunners lost to the Black Cats after allowing their first goal in 881 minutes and another in stoppage time.

The outcome may revitalize the title chase.

At the Stadium of Light, Daniel Ballard gave his old team the lead before goals from Bukayo Saka and Leandro Trossard turned the tide of the match.

However, Arsenal’s five-game winning streak in the league came to an end in the 94th minute thanks to a hooked effort by Brian Brobbey.

“I felt a pain in my tummy,” Arteta said.

“I don’t want to concede any goals. It was a goal and put the game in a difficult position.”

As a result, Arsenal currently leads second-place Manchester City, who take on reigning champions Liverpool on Sunday, by seven points.
