Paul Scholes, a former Manchester United midfielder, has acknowledged that Arsenal could easily win the Premier League title this season.

Having established a seven-point gap over Manchester City and Aston Villa, the Gunners currently occupy the top position.

Arsenal have only managed to win against Villa among the current top four, despite having faced Liverpool and Unai Emery’s team twice already, as well as playing Manchester City once.

This weekend, Mikel Arteta’s squad faces Manchester United, a team they beat 1-0 in the opening weekend of this season.

Scholes, during an appearance on The Overlap Fan Debate, stated: “One thing Arsenal haven’t done is beat a team like Liverpool or Manchester City.

“But looking at how many points Liverpool and City are losing, I don’t think they will have to. I think it could be a very easy win for Arsenal.”
