Marco Silva, the head coach of Fulham, has stated that the team has not yet begun negotiations with Samuel Chukwueze over a long-term deal.

On the day of the deadline, Chukwueze joined the Whites on loan from AC Milan with a buyout option.

Standard Sport estimates that the option to purchase is worth between £22 and £26 million.

According to reports, the 26-year-old is eager to stay at Craven Cottage after this season.

Silva is at ease and certain that they will complete the transaction on schedule.

“No talks. We have protected ourselves with the deal. He’s been very good for us; let’s hope he can do the same things in the next 1-2 games. We have an option with him,” Silva said in his pre-match press conference on Friday.

Since joining Fulham, Chukwueze has made an impression.

In seven league games for the London team, the Nigerian international has scored two goals and provided three assists.
