This season’s Premier League is approaching its closing stages, with several crucial fixtures scheduled for this weekend.

Chelsea and Manchester City will not be in league action, as they are set to feature in their FA Cup semi-final matches against Leeds United and Southampton respectively.

However, other teams will still be in action across the league fixtures.

So, which matches could produce surprising outcomes?

1. Wolves vs Spurs: Earlier this week, Wolverhampton Wanderers were confirmed as the first side to be relegated from the top flight this season. However, their opponents this weekend could also find themselves in danger. The third relegation spot may come down to either Tottenham Hotspur or West Ham United. With Wolves already down and Spurs yet to secure a win in 2026, the result remains unpredictable.

2. Liverpool vs Crystal Palace: Following Chelsea’s dip in form, Liverpool are currently well placed to secure a fifth-place finish. However, they must continue collecting points to maintain that position. Crystal Palace arrive at Anfield in strong form, aiming to climb into the top half of the table.

3. Man Utd vs Brentford: In a surprising development in recent weeks, Brentford are now competing for a UEFA Champions League place with only five fixtures remaining. The Bees travel to face Manchester United—who are close to securing qualification themselves—hoping to earn points that will keep their ambitions alive. They could well produce the result they need.
