Kieran Tierney, who is currently on loan at Arsenal, has rated the possibilities of the Gunners winning the English Premier League this season.
The Scotland international is rooting for his parent team to win the championship at the end of the current campaign.
Arsenal are in a stronger position than they were last season, according to the Scot, who is presently on loan at Real Sociedad in La Liga.
Despite dominating the standings for most of last season, Tierney was a member of the Arsenal team that missed out on the title.
When asked if he thinks Mikel Arteta’s side could remain top of the table till the last day, Tierney said (as quoted by afcstuff): “I think they can. I don’t know exactly the run-in for the three teams fighting for it, but I think they’re in a better position than last year. They’ve got more experience, their whole game has developed so much; defensively, they’re solid; they don’t give much away.”
Because they are tied for first place in the table with Liverpool on points, Arsenal is winning the race on goal differential. Manchester City, trailing by just one point, is in close pursuit.
