EPL: Why I have not sacked Ten Hag – Man Utd co-owner, Jim Ratcliffe

Sir Jim Ratcliffe, a co-owner of Manchester United, has spoken out about why he chose not to fire manager Erik ten Hag.

After the Red Devils had their worst season since the Premier League’s inception, many supporters and analysts predicted Ten Hag’s dismissal.

With a goal differential of minus eight for the first time in thirty-four years, United came in eighth place.

There were also 14 losses for the squad during that period.

But Ten Hag orchestrated United’s 2-1 victory over Manchester City in the FA Cup final, which secured United’s spot in the Europa League.

Ratcliffe then made the decision to keep the Dutchman leading, giving him a fresh deal that would last until 2026.

Ratcliffe stated in an interview with The Times that “Erik is a good guy and has been doing his best, but doing too much.

“He was trying to sort out the squad and fix leaks in the roof at the same time.”
