Euro 2024: Ronaldo sets new record

Portugal’s captain, Cristiano Ronaldo, made history again on Saturday as they defeated Turkey 3-0 at Euro 2024.

An easy victory was ensured by goals from Bruno Fernandes and Bernardo Silva after Samet Akaydin’s own goal.

For the game’s final goal, Ronaldo set up Fernandes to tap into an empty net.

The 39-year-old added a new record to his growing collection with that, his seventh assist of the competition.

As group champions, the outcome guaranteed Roberto Martinez’s team a spot in the round of sixteen.
