Former Minister of Environment, Barrister Mohammed Hassan Abdullahi has resigned from the All Progressives Congress (APC), which is now in power.
In a letter dated June 1, Abdullahi informed the APC chairman of his Uke ward in the Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa State of his choice.
He resigned for “personal reasons,” according to the letter, which was also forwarded to other party officials.
He thanked the chairman and other party officials for their assistance when he was in the APC, stating that they had made “modest contributions in building the party” in Nasarawa State.
“I wish you and the party good luck,” Abdullahi stated in the letter.
Abdullahi had previously agreed to run for governor of Nasarawa State in 2027, citing the need to address “contemporary realities,” but he did not elaborate on his future political ambitions.
