Ex-Senate President, Pius Anyim formally joins APC

SGF Senator Anyim Pius Anyim, a former Senate president and Secretary to the Government of the Federation, has formally joined the All Progressives Congress, or APC, which is currently in power.

On June 29, rumours circulated that the former lawmaker had defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives (APC).

Abdullahi Ganduje, the party’s national chairman, formally welcomed him into the organisation on Saturday together with other Southeast party stakeholders.

The party rally was being held at the Abakaliki Stadium when the event occurred.

Attendees included governors and prominent members of the party, like as Hope Uzodinma, the governor of Imo State.
