According to Blackburn Rovers manager John Eustace, Emmanuel Dennis will play in the Emirates FA Cup match against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday, marking his official debut for the team.
On the day of the deadline, Dennis left Nottingham Forest, a Sky Bet Championship team, to join Rovers on loan.
The Nigerian played 45 minutes in Wednesday’s PL International Cup match between Blackburn Rovers’ U-21 team and Athletic Club B in an attempt to improve his fitness.
During the first half of the season, the 27-year-old did not play for Nottingham Forest.
“Three of the boys played for the Under-21s on Wednesday and played 45 minutes,” Eustace told the club’s official website.
“Everyone’s looking forward to playing against a Premier League team, and it’s a great opportunity to play some of the new lads who have just signed, to see where their fitness levels are at.”
