King WasiAyinde Marshall, a Nigerian Fuji master who is often referred to as KWAM 1 or K1 De Ultimate, lost his mother, Halima Anifowoshe, to death.

The mother of KWAM 1 passed away at the age of 105.

The renowned artist posted the heartbreaking news on his social media accounts.

With the comment, “Inna Lillahi wa inna ilayhi Raji’un. RIP Mama,” he shared a picture of himself with his mother.

This occurs only a few days after Alhaja Hafsat Ajoke Anifowoshe, one of KWAM 1’s wives, died on Tuesday after an unspecified illness.

In accordance with Muslim customs, she was buried right away in Lagos’ Abari Cemetery.

“On behalf of my family, I sincerely sympathise with the popular Fuji maestro, Alhaji Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, known as K1 De Ultimate (KWAM1), who recently suffered a double bereavement,” wrote Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s—LP) 2023 general election presidential candidate, on X in response to the news.

“The reported deaths of his ex-wife, Alhaja Hafsat Ajoke Anifowoshe, and his mother, Alhaja Halima Shadiya Anifowoshe, within a few days, are indeed tragic.

“I commiserate with him and his entire family during this challenging period of mourning.

“May Almighty Allah grant them the fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss, forgive the sins of the departed, and grant them eternal rest.”
