Nyesom Wike, the minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has stated that he will continue to defend the courts despite criticism.
At the flagging off of the design, construction, and outfitting of the office annexe of the Body of Benchers of Nigeria in Abuja on Friday, Wike emphasised the value of cooperation between the legislative, executive, and judicial branches of government.
The development of the Body of Benchers office facility has already been funded in the FCT’s supplemental budget, the former Rivers State helmsman noted.
The minister praised President Tinubu for his steadfast support of the FCT Administration and promised that funding will be available for the project.
In addition, the Minister promised that the project would be covered by the FCT’s 2025 budget when asked to build a fire service station within the Body of Benchers complex.
He said: “You can take it for granted; by 2025, we are going to establish a fire service station within this complex. I want to assure the Body of Benchers that I will make you proud, and you will see a difference as far as governance is concerned.”
