FG warns Nigerians against fake palliative websites

The increasing number of fake websites for the delivery of palliative care across the nation has alarmed the federal administration.

This was revealed in a message released on Monday via the X handle of Doris Uzoka-Anite, the Minister of Trade, Industry, and Investment.

The Minister claims that certain unofficial online platforms charge users for palliative distribution while claiming affiliations with the Presidential Palliative Programs.

She pleaded with Nigerians to disregard these platforms, pointing out that the government-endorsed site is the only one that has been validated for the palliative project.

“It has come to my notice that unauthorized platforms falsely claim association with the Presidential Palliative Programmes. I, Dr Doris Uzoka-Anite, Honourable Minister for Industry, Trade and Investment, urgently advise Nigerians to utilize only the official portal, http://fedgrantandloan.gov.ng, for authentic updates and applications.

“Protect your information. Avoid unauthorized channels. Rely solely on the verified website for accurate details regarding these vital initiatives.

“Also, do not pay anyone to process applications. It’s free”, she stated.

Remember that as part of his presidential palliative loan program, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu announced in July that N125 billion in finance will be made available to Micro, Small, and Medium-Sized Enterprises (MSMEs).

The government announced that N75 billion would be made available to manufacturers and N75 billion to Micro, Small, and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs) in a variety of industries.
