Danji Usman, a former legislator from Wukari/Ibi, has officially left the All Progressives Congress (APC) to join the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
Usman announced the decision in Jalingo on Saturday, claiming it would provide him with a platform to further his political goals in the run-up to the 2026–2027 elections.
He thanked his followers in Southern Taraba, the state, and the diaspora for sticking by him ever since he left the APC.
“Your support is evidence of our shared vision to rescue the people of Taraba from the grip of bad governance,” he said.
Usman explained his decision to join the ADC by saying, “This decision followed careful consideration, due diligence, and wide consultations. The ADC provides a viable platform for engaging in the democratic process and promoting people-centered policies.”
Additionally, he urged his supporters to support his new political residence.
“I urge all my supporters, well-wishers, and advocates of good governance to back this movement. Together, we can empower the underprivileged, improve living conditions, and support communities in need by firmly standing with the ADC.”
