The Elevance Health Foundation—the philanthropic arm of the Elevance Health healthcare system—has announced grants totalling $6.5 million to strengthen maternal and infant healthcare initiatives across the United States.
The grants, awarded to 29 community-based programs, are designed to advance innovative and scalable solutions that enhance care before conception, during pregnancy, at delivery, and throughout the postpartum period. They also aim to improve infant health outcomes, particularly by tackling disparities in treatment and care.
Among the recipients are the Doula Co-Op of Nevada, Healthy Futures of Texas, and the Child Centre of NY, all organisations recognised for their impactful contributions to maternal and child health.
The awards form part of the Foundation’s broader five-year, $150 million commitment to addressing the physical, behavioural, and social needs of under-resourced communities across the country.
