The Prof. Adaramaja Education Foundation has granted scholarships to outstanding pupils during its 2025 Summer Lessons programme, which took place at L.G.E.A. Primary School, Otte Oja, in Asa Local Government Area of Kwara State.
The scholarships were awarded to the top-performing pupils across different class categories at the programme’s closing ceremony. In addition, the Foundation paid the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) and Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) fees for exceptional students who participated in this year’s edition
The initiative, spearheaded by the Executive Chairman of the Kwara State Universal Basic Education Board (KWSUBEB), Prof. Shehu Raheem Adaramaja, is part of ongoing efforts to promote quality education while easing the financial burden on parents.
Prof. Adaramaja explained that this marks the fifth edition of the Summer Lessons programme, highlighting his dedication to strengthening basic education in Kwara through interventions such as school rehabilitation, teacher training, and support for indigent pupils.
He also praised Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for creating an enabling environment for educational progress, stressing that the scholarships reflect the power of collaboration between leaders and communities to empower children through education.
He said, “In a society where many children risk being left behind due to economic challenges, the foundation stands as a reminder that targeted, community-driven interventions can change destinies. Year after year, it demonstrates that education is not merely a classroom experience, but a shared responsibility — one that requires the combined will of government, leaders, and communities.
