Adedoyin Adeeso, Operations Manager of the foundation, stated, “Science has proven time and again that a reading culture improves not only academic outcomes but long-term quality of life.” The foundation also rehabilitated the school’s library, providing new furniture and educational books.
Adeeso added, “What we did today reflects our commitment to SDG 4—Quality Education. It is a promise that no child, regardless of where they are born, should be left behind in the pursuit of knowledge.” The initiative is part of the foundation’s strategy to empower young people through education, skills, and mentorship.
The Principal of the school, Olufunke Oyenuga, expressed appreciation, saying, “This for us went beyond the improvement in facilities. It is the kind of support that reminds our students they matter. It gives them wings and shows them they can be anything they choose to be.”
The programme included interactive literacy sessions, and some students were rewarded with cash prizes for their academic performance. Adeeso urged other well-meaning individuals and organisations to support schools in disadvantaged communities
