The head coach of the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon, Mike Ndoumou, has provided an explanation for his team’s loss to the Super Falcons, as reported by ZINGTIE.
In a friendly match at Yaoundé’s Military Stadium on Tuesday, Cameroon was defeated by the African champions with a score of 3-1 ahead of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
In the first friendly last Saturday, Ndoumou’s team defeated Nigeria 1-0, but the Super Falcons avenged this defeat with a convincing performance.
Christiane put the Indomitable Lionesses ahead early on. Nonetheless, the Super Falcons regrouped and secured victory in the match with goals from Chiwendu Ihezuo, Omorinsola Babajide, and Michelle Alozie.
Ndoumou stated that his team permitted their adversary to dominate the match.
“We let Nigeria lay siege on us and play in our half. The goals came very quickly,” he said in his post-match reaction.
