Siminalayi Fubara, the suspended governor of Rivers State, appeared in public for the first time since being sent on leave on Sunday.

Rumors regarding Fubara’s location were put to rest when he was spotted at a service at the Salvation Ministry in Port Harcourt, where he frequently worships.
A senior pastor welcomed the governor and led him into the church so he could take part in the ceremony.

When he arrived, the convoy was noticeably small and lacked the governor’s office’s official seal and flag.
Fubara’s visit coincides with continuing political unrest in Rivers State, where public debate is dominated by issues of power conflicts and governance.
