Former France international William Gallas has rated Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Vitinha as the finest in the world.
Gallas, a former Arsenal and Chelsea player, believes that Arsenal and England midfielder Declan Rice is one of the world’s greatest, but not the best.
Many pundits and fans have lauded Rice as the best midfielder in the world, while others have praised Chelsea’s Moisés Caicedo.
While Gallas praised Rice’s remarkable performances for both club and country, he believes Vitinha, a PSG and Portugal midfielder, is superior.
“Maybe he [Rice] is one of the best midfielders, but not the best, because I think the best midfielder at the moment is Vitinha,” Gallas told OLBG.
Vitinha, 25, has excelled since joining PSG in 2022. Last season, the Portuguese midfielder helped the French Ligue 1 giants win the league title, the Champions League, and several other titles.
