Olusegun Olulade, a former two-term legislator from Lagos, believes opposition parties shouldn’t celebrate Alhaji Abdullahi Ganduje’s departure as APC National Chairman.

In a Lagos interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Monday, Olulade stated that Ganduje’s resignation did not signify a crisis inside the ruling party.

He advised opposition leaders to refrain from interpreting the former party chairman’s resignation as a sign of weakness.

According to Olulade, Executive Director at Galaxy Backbone Limited, the party is still powerful and will undoubtedly triumph all of its rivals in 2027.

“There is nothing to be afraid of; our party is getting stronger and sailing to victory in 2027.There is no crisis in the party.

“Ganduje has come out to say his resignation was on the health grounds. He is not fighting, there is no crisis in APC; our party is strong.

“There is nothing to worry about, in fact we are comfortable as a party, we are good, we are sailing on top in APC, we are not worried,” Olulade said.

Olulade remarked that Ganduje had written his name in gold with the daring move and wished him luck in his future endeavors.

“It is rare in politics that someone will resign on health grounds. Ganduje has written his name in gold for taking that commendable decision.

“The party has been growing in leaps and bounds and getting stronger. In fact, it is the opposition that is afraid now.

“We don’t have any reason to panic. The party remains strong despite Ganduje’s resignation,” Olulade said.
