Since God did not call him to be a pastor, Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State has been asked to keep praying for him by Nyesom Wike, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT.

Wike stated that he would continue to assist the governor in performing his duties even as Eno prayed for him.

He made the call yesterday during the Ikot-Esu-Otomo-Azumini road’s commissioning in Akwa Ibom State.

The minister emphasized that forgiveness is a sign of strength rather than weakness and asked the governor to embrace this culture.

Wike said: “Continue to do good, forgiveness is not a weak point, rather it’s strength. It doesn’t matter what happens, relate with people who have helped you before, it does not mean that you are weak but you have taken a decision to move Akwa Ibom forward and that’s the decision that I will continue to support you.

“But all those you relate with, continue to give them their respect, you are a humble man, you are a man of God and allow those of us… the truth is that me, I don’t know if I can be a pastor.

“It takes a man of strong character and continue to pray for me because God has given it to you, but me, I will continue to support you.

“So, you that God said you should be praying, pray while I will continue to support you. The politics I believe is that you do for me, I do for you, you fall for me, I fall for you.”
