Gov Adeleke finally clears the air on defection rumours

According to Ademola Adeleke, the governor of Osun State, he will not be defecting from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

On Wednesday, Adeleke addressed a gathering of PDP leaders from Osun State.

The governor was responding to claims that he had defected to the ruling party from the PDP.

Rumors of his defection, according to Adeleke, are unfounded.

He asserted that those who were frightened by the state’s advancement under his direction were responsible for spreading them.

Adeleke said, “My people, party elders and chiefs, I declare before you today that I am not defecting to APC or any other political party.

“I remain in PDP. Ignore any fake news.”

Top Osun PDP leaders attended the meeting, which took place at the Banquet Hall of the Government House in Osogbo, according to ZINGTIE. Former Governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola participated electronically.
