Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago of Niger State has officially dissolved the State Executive Council, bringing the tenure of all commissioners to an end.

The announcement was made on Monday during a council session held at the Government House in Minna.

While addressing the gathering, Governor Bago thanked the outgoing commissioners for their service and contributions to the progress of the state. He instructed them to hand over responsibilities to the permanent secretaries within their respective ministries.

He also clarified that the dissolution only applies to commissioners. Key political appointees, including the Secretary to the State Government, Chief of Staff, Deputy Chief of Staff, and other senior aides in his office, will continue in their roles.
