Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has directed the immediate implementation of pending promotions for civil servants, assuring that all affected workers will receive their financial benefits before the end of May.

The governor gave the directive while receiving officials of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Adamawa State chapter, during a courtesy visit to Government House in Yola.

Fintiri instructed the state Accountant-General to ensure full payment of all entitlements once promotion records are updated, highlighting his administration’s commitment to improving workers’ welfare.

He reaffirmed that policies supporting civil servants remain a priority, noting that strengthening career progression and welfare is essential for improving public service delivery and promoting inclusive governance in the state.
