Gunmen attacked Baba Ramo Fulani Camp near Isanlu Isin in Kwara State, resulting in the kidnapping of two men and the injuries of another.
The attackers stormed the camp around 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, shooting into the air before removing two inmates, Ibrahim Nuhu and Musa Umar, according to a post published on X on Thursday by security expert Zagazola Makama.
“One person, Opeyemi Ibrahim, was shot in the right thigh during the attack. He was rushed to Adeyemi Hospital in Omu-Aran for treatment.
“Shortly after the attack, local hunters and vigilantes began a search operation in the surrounding bushes to find the kidnapped victims.
“During the operation, they recovered eight empty AK-47 bullet shells, a human thumb that had been cut off, a flashlight, and a blue Bajaj motorcycle with plate number KMA 185 VD. About 50 cows believed to have been left behind by the attackers were also found,” Makama wrote.
The seized things have been turned over to the police, Makama continued, and an investigation is underway to identify the abductors and free the victims.
