Segun Johnson, a Nigerian musician renowned for his distinct style of performing at events, has shared the story behind his journey into music.
The artist opened up about his humble beginnings during a conversation with media personality Teju BabyFace.
Explaining how he got into music, Segun Johnson revealed that Nigeria’s economic struggles played a significant role in his decision to pursue a musical career.
When asked by Teju BabyFace whether music was always his passion or when he first discovered it, Segun responded in Yoruba: “Ebi ni, hunger ni (hunger led me to it). If you are in Nigeria, you don’t have a choice.”
Segun Johnson is widely recognized for his catchy hype songs, including ‘Sho Fine Gan’ and ‘Sho ma nawo yen tan.’
