Nollywood actress Kate Henshaw disapproves of the present administration’s choice to play the previous national anthem again.

She criticised the timing of the move, in particular, asking how the nation’s suffering would be addressed by going back to the traditional anthem.

The actor bemoaned the “excoriating hardship and lack of good governance on every level” the nation is experiencing.

On her X handle, she sarcastically wrote: “In the midst of excoriating hardship & lack of good governance on every level but not to worry, going back to a colonial anthem will be a soothing balm and inject patriotism back into our veins, a much needed drug.”

Henshaw said, “The labour of our heroes past… o ti lo [is gone],” in another post.

ZINGTIE recalls that National Song Bill 2024, which restores the previous song, “Nigeria, We Hail Thee,” was signed into law by President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday.
