According to the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), the most affordable states in Nigeria to reside in are Borno, Delta, and Benue.
Benue, Delta, and Borno had the slowest headline inflation increases year over year, according to the NBS July Consumer Price Index and Inflation Data, which was issued on Thursday.
Year-over-year headline inflation rates for Benue, Delta, and Borno were 27.28 percent, 28.06 percent, and 28.33 percent, respectively.
Taraba, at 0.17 percent, Kwara, at 0.62 percent, and Ondo, at 0.91 percent, saw the slowest headline inflation rise month over month.
Conversely, the largest increases were reported in Abuja (3.91 percent), Borno (3.84 percent), and Enugu (3.76 percent).
ZINGTIE had earlier reported that, in July, headline inflation in Nigeria dropped to 33.90 percent, the lowest level since 2022, when it was 21.34 percent, based on statistics from NBS.
Similarly, NBS said that food inflation decreased in July to 39.53 percent from 40.87 percent in June due to lower prices for garri, fufu, and other foods.
