Rev. Ezekiel Dachomo, an outspoken priest from Plateau State, has cursed whoever deleted his Facebook account over the weekend, which had over 500,000 followers.
Shortly after he expressed concern that he was receiving threats and warnings from individuals purporting to be President Bola Tinubu’s supporters due to his insistence that there is Christian genocide in the Plateau, the fiery preacher stated that his account will be deleted.
Following the closure of his Facebook profile, Rev. Dachomo also declared that he had switched to Instagram. On Saturday, American podcaster Ryan Miller assisted him in creating an Instagram account, which gained over 4,500 followers in less than a day.
In the meantime, numerous fictitious Facebook pages were created under names like “Pastor Ezekiel Dachomo,” “The Real Dachomo,” and “Ezekiel Dachimo,” among others. Some of these accounts claimed to be legitimate by using his and his family members’ photos.
Rev. Dachomo himself came out on Monday morning to deny the accounts, claiming that the same individuals who had blocked his accounts had opened over ten more in order to swindle his followers and innocent Nigerians.
Rev. Dachomo stated in a video that journalist Masara Kim Usman posted: “I am not on Facebook. Nobody should communicate with anyone who created an account in my name. I am now on Instagram.
“It has just come to my notice that over 10 Facebook accounts have been opened in my name, either using my family pictures or different styles of my pictures. Let me tell you, these are scammers.
“They know that my Facebook account has been closed. I don’t have a Facebook account again. Facebook has told us they are working on it, and we have done everything that we need to do to restore the Facebook account.
“And let me tell you, the scheming in Nigeria, 419 is working very strongly, fraudulent people, even some Yahoo Boys can go to any length to scam people, or even some people who have an interest in killing the issue of genocide, that there is no genocide of Christians in Nigeria.
“They can even pay 50, 100, or even 1,000 people to report my Facebook account. I know that Boko Haram terrorists in Nigeria can go to any extent to any length, even paying the media to make sure that my Facebook account is locked because they know Trump is coming and they will see hell when Trump comes.
“So they will do whatever it takes to lock me down. But heaven will lock you down. When heaven locks you down, there is no hole, there is no mountain, there is no creek that you will enter; you will be hunted down by angels that are hunters. For that, I’m begging you, close those accounts.”
But Usman revealed another startling fact a few hours later: the new Instagram account had also been shut down.
“Again, Rev. Dachomo’s new Instagram page, boasting over 4,500 followers within 24 hours of creation by American podcaster, Ryan Miller, has been shut down. Real terrorists on rampage! But we’ll get you I promise.’
