Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, has gifted N1 million each to 39 wounded soldiers of the South-East “Operation Udoka” operatives. The gesture was made during a Sallah luncheon held at the 302 Artillery Regiment, Onitsha Military Cantonment.

Soludo commended the soldiers for their dedication to protecting the nation’s territorial integrity, stating, “We are confident that with our own G.O.C. here, he is making fundamental differences day by day.” He assured the wounded soldiers of free medical care and treatment in state-owned healthcare centres.
The governor also praised the soldiers’ efforts in tackling criminality, saying, “The criminals are on the run. The other line of battle is defined, and I want to pray that in no distant time, all those who are loitering in other criminal camps will have their days numbered.”
Major General Oluyemi Olatoye, Commander of 82 Division, Nigerian Army, emphasised the importance of unity and dedication to service, stating, “We are proud of each and every one under this Command and other security agencies for their resilience in the face of threats.”
The Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-General Olufemi Oluyede, represented by Major General Adewale Adekeye, appreciated the troops’ bravery and resilience, saying, “Your bravery, your resilience, and your dedication to duty are not done unnoticed.” He lauded their successes, including the recent seizure of arms and ammunition
