Ademola Adeleke, the Governor of Osun State, has reiterated his backing for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.
Adeleke disclosed this on Tuesday in Osogbo during his address to cabinet members, special advisers, and other senior government officials, as stated by his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed.
The governor remarked that his position has not changed due to the current crisis impacting local governments in Osun State, and emphasized that he has supported Tinubu since his tenure in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
“We have no problem with President Tinubu. He is our leader,” Adeleke said.
“He represents the South-West, and I reaffirm our endorsement of Mr President for re-election in the best interest of the region.”
He also thanked residents for their ongoing support of the Accord Party (AP), noting that its popularity is growing beyond Osun State.
Adeleke gave additional guarantees that his administration would persist in providing democratic dividends, concentrating anew on women, workers, and youths, and placing investments in infrastructure, agro-industrialisation, education, and healthcare at the forefront of its priorities.
The governor instructed party officials to bolster the grassroots framework of the party by registering members and mobilising voters in all 332 wards throughout the state.
