Israel’s military minister, Yoav Gallant, has declared a 48-hour countrywide emergency.

The event transpired subsequent to the Israeli military conducting extensive airstrikes against Lebanon.

“The declaration on the state of emergency enables the IDF (Israeli military) to issue instructions to the citizens of Israel, including limiting gatherings and closing sites where it may be relevant,” Mr Gallant said in a statement on Monday. “I hereby declare a special situation on the home front in other areas of the country. The situation is valid for 48 hours starting at 6:00 am.”

ZINGTIE claims that in order to prevent a more significant attack, the military launched over 100 jets into Lebanon.

Conversely, Hezbollah had also fired hundreds of drones and missiles against Israel early on Sunday.

An air raid siren sounded in Israel, and it was possible to see the missiles fired by Hezbollah snaking up through the early sky, dark vapour trailing behind them.

In Lebanon, three deaths were verified, but none in Israel.

Furthermore, Israel’s military asserted that it had prevented a much bigger attack by using preemptive aircraft to destroy thousands of launcher barrels, most of which were intended for northern Israel but also some central areas.

Hezbollah brushed off Israel’s statement, claiming that it had successfully launched its drones and that it would need “some time” to complete the rest of its retaliation to Shukr’s death.
