Behind the flashy lifestyle of a so-called billionaire, the residents of Eziagu in Enugu have discovered a tragedy. In his house, what looked like a soakaway pit was actually a ma$$ grave, full of the decomposing corpses of his victims, including pregnant women. He buried them alive for ceremonial money, according to witnesses.

The community had already taken matters into their own hands by the time the news reached them; his house was set on fire, and he was humiliated by being tripped, beaten, and paraded throughout the hamlet.

Paradoxically, this same individual was frequently spotted at gatherings, flinging bundles of cash and being hailed as a “big man.” His demise is a sobering reminder that some fortunes are tainted by blood, and not all wealth is earned.
