After months of threats, a 15-year-old girl who had previously refused to tell her parents who was responsible for her pregnancy has finally admitted that an adult relative who lived with them had impregnated her.

The couple’s amazement, sadness, disappointment, rage, and dilemma upon learning of the pregnancy were previously expressed by Blessing, a Nigerian woman who is friends with the girl’s parents.

She claims that when she told the story in April, many criticized the youngster and her parents, blaming the pregnancy on “failed parenting” and the minor’s “waywardness.”

“Y’ all remember this post I made about my friend’s 15yo teenage daughter that got pregnant but wouldn’t talk or say anything to her parents about who was responsible or what happened?,” she wrote in a Facebook post.

The parents of my pals were taken aback because they believed they were raising her and her siblings.

The same one where the mother opposed it and the distraught father suggested that she retain it to “teach her a lesson”?

That viral post where many of you called the parents names that couldn’t be printed?

How were they bad parents and failed? How careless and flawed were they to let their 15-year-old become pregnant without their knowledge?

Particularly the mother, who even entertains the idea of erasing the fetus because who does that?

With the mother’s consent, I would like to inform you that she became pregnant due to neither the child’s “waywardness” nor the parent’s “failed parenting or irresponsibility.”

Their teenage daughter was intimidated for months by an adult relative, a very close relative whom they all trusted and who lived with them. She gave in to the threats until she made the decision to talk to her parents and trust them more.

You see, I’m leaving out the details of what they did since they gave me so much bhet.

But know that by ensuring her safety and prioritizing her, the parents did EVERYTHING RIGHT for their child.
