Franca Obialor, Managing Director and CEO of A’lor Consults Limited, has identified multiple taxation as a major constraint for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Nigeria. Speaking at the bi-monthly PR Tea Conference in Lagos, Obialor highlighted the significant impact of multiple taxation on operational costs, warning that the increasing financial burden is becoming a serious deterrent to business growth and sustainability.

According to Obialor, “To address visibility challenges, A’lor Consults Limited focuses on brand positioning that enhances recognition and builds customer loyalty.” She emphasised the importance of maintaining high standards of quality and carving out a distinct niche in the branding industry.

Obialor noted that A’lor Consults Limited offers platforms for business visibility, including billboard advertising and branding materials, aimed at helping businesses stand out in competitive markets. The company guides clients through the entire process, from conceptualisation to final installation, to ensure premium signage solutions.

The entrepreneur also mentioned the firm’s sister company, Alor Apparel, which specialises in corporate clothing and urban wear, providing branded merchandise and corporate items for businesses of all sizes.

Obialor called for greater government support for SMEs, advocating for grants and accessible loan facilities to aid the survival and growth of small businesses. She stated that simplifying regulatory processes would better support entrepreneurs, citing A’lor Consults Limited’s ability to secure Lagos State Signage and Advertisement Agency (LASAA) permits as a competitive advantage.

A’lor Consults Limited has collaborated with notable brands such as Wheatbaker, Radisson, and Interswitch, among others, and remains committed to helping businesses thrive through strategic branding and signage solutions
