Governor Siminalayi Fubara has been reassured by Tony Okocha, the chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State, that the APC will always be available to him.

Speaking on Friday, Okocha traveled to the Government House in Port Harcourt to formally register the Governor as an APC member.

He said that Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, the National Chairman of the party, had instructed him to formally give the Governor his party membership card.

He praised the governor for his choice to join the ruling party and called the task a “holy one.”

Okocha stated that he was pleased with Governor Fubara’s justifications for joining the APC and that the party in Rivers State will back him wholeheartedly.

Eric Nwibani, the party’s State Secretary, officially registered Governor Fubara as an APC member.

Festus Keyamo, the Minister of Aviation, members of the APC State Executive Council, Tammy Danagogo, the former Secretary to the State Government, and other party stakeholders were among the dignitaries in attendance at the brief event.
