Alhassan Doguwa, the majority leader of the House of Representatives, has provided an explanation for his appearance in widely shared films of himself jumping and dancing about London.

Doguwa claimed that the recordings were a warning to his political adversaries in Kano, particularly those from Doguwa and Tudun Wada, who have turned politics into animosity.

“I went to London at a time when I wanted to send a message to my political opponents. I wanted them to know that despite everything, I remain the true representative of Doguwa and Tudun Wada. Whether they like it or not, I’m here standing strong, even in London,” he said.

He continued by saying that although he had previously been overseas, he made the films on purpose to prove to his detractors that he was succeeding.

“I’m not new to visiting London or other foreign countries. I only felt this was the right time to let them see me from the front and back, I am doing fine,” Doguwa said confidently.

Netizans have recently been amused by recordings of the politician posing for the camera from various perspectives.

In one video, Hon. Doguwa Wasu was seen eating an apple in his hotel room’s bathroom, while in another, he was spotted stroking a beautiful plant outside a hotel.

Doguwa maintained, however, that this sends a clear message to his adversaries, who are aware of his strength in terms of representation.
