Entrepreneur May Edochie has disclosed how her marriage crisis with well-known actor Yul Edochie caused her once-thriving enterprises to collapse due to her emotional and financial difficulties.

Speaking at the London debut of her cosmetics line, May revealed that the upheaval had a negative impact on her personal life and left her deeply indebted.

“It was barely a few months when all the unprecedented occurrences came my way,” she said.

“I sat and watched everything go down the drain… I had to repay three banks at the same time. Interests were piling, goods expired in my stores, and I lost everything.”

She clarified that although her married status was in the news, she was facing increasing strain in the background in silence.

May said she refused to let the disappointments break her.

“I believe in myself and I know what I’m made of. I said no, I am not going to be at the mercy of anyone.”

More than two years have passed since May’s husband Yul Edochie made his second marriage to actress Judy Austin public in April 2022, a move that caused a great deal of public outrage and soured his relationship with May.

May broke off her relationship with the actor shortly after, stating that polygamy violates her morals and beliefs. May stuck to her guns and started to rebuild her life on her own, even after Yul publicly apologized in December 2022.

Fans have shown May a lot of support since the split, and she has consistently concentrated on her own recovery, development, and business endeavors.
