Adebayo Shittu, the former minister of communications and digital economy, has acknowledged the political difficulties that former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai is currently undergoing and offered his sympathies.

Despite their prior political disagreements, Shittu emphasized El-Rufai’s achievements to the country and the All Progressives Congress (APC) in an interview with Arise News.

“I feel for El-Rufai because of all he contributed to APC. I really wish he wasn’t facing these difficulties. If there was a way I could support him, I would,” Shittu said.

He said that the present changes make it too early for anyone to claim complete power or success in the state, characterizing the political climate in Kaduna as fragile.
