As I write this, I’m still trembling. All I wanted was someone to pray for me and help me break the bad luck that has been chasing me since last year. I was introduced to this well-known Ibadan preacher who is well-known for his “three-day deliverance” sessions by a friend. I agreed because I was desperate.

Nothing out of the ordinary occurred on the first night. They locked my phone “for spiritual focus” and handed me a white robe. After drinking the “holy water” they provided me on the second night, I began to feel lightheaded. By daybreak, I was immobile. I was weak. No one picked up when I tried to contact for assistance.

I didn’t open my eyes and discover I was no longer in the room until the third day. I was outside, like an animal, tied in the backyard. Two other girls were present. One was not conscious.

One said in a whisper, “You’re not the first. and you won’t be the last.”

God used a neighbor who heard our cries; I’m not sure how I managed to get away. The police arrived. The church has been sealed, and the pastor is currently on the run.

In the name of deliverance, how many more girls are stuck like this?
