Suspended Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan (Kogi Central) has rejected claims that she apologized to the Senate over the controversy that led to her six-month suspension.

In a statement issued on Monday, Akpoti-Uduaghan called the reports “false and misleading,” reiterating her commitment to her stance and actions.

She accused those behind the misinformation of twisting facts and misleading the public.

The senator, who faced suspension following a tense confrontation with Senate leadership, reaffirmed her dedication to protecting the rights of her constituents and vowed not to be intimidated.

She also pointed to an alleged campaign to silence her, urging Nigerians to remain cautious of false information.

Akpoti-Uduaghan emphasized that any official communication from her would only be made through her verified channels.

“This is not just about me; it is about the integrity of our democracy. I will not be intimidated or forced into submission through false narratives,” she stated.
