Nigerian Grammy-winning artist, Damini Ogulu, widely known as Burna Boy, has shared what alternative paths he might have taken if music hadn’t become his career.
In a candid interaction with a fan, Burna Boy stated that without music, he could have ended up in various controversial or dangerous roles.
Asked about what he might have pursued instead of singing, he responded: “There are many options, I could be stealing oil, I could be playing basket ball, I could be a fraudster, a suicide bomber, anything including a prostitute.”
Meanwhile, Burna Boy has reached a new milestone in his career by becoming the African artist with the highest number of entries on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart.
His latest collaboration with American rapper Gunna, titled ‘WGFT’ from Gunna’s album ‘The Last Wun’, entered the chart at position 96 this week. This marks Burna Boy’s seventh entry on the Billboard Hot 100.
He also holds the record as the first African musician to debut a track on the chart for five consecutive years — from 2021 through 2025.
