The former Queen of Ooni of Ife, Naomi Silekunola, Oriyomi Hazmat, and Abdullahi Fasasi have set January 13 as the date for the Oyo State High Court in Ibadan to rule on their bail applications.

While presiding over the hearing on Tuesday, Justice K. B. Olawoyin set the date.

After a rush in December, Naomi, Fasasi, the principal of Islamic High School in Bashorun, Ibadan, and Hazmat, the owner of the radio station Agidigbo FM in Ibadan, were taken into custody.

In December, a food rush in Ibadan claimed the lives of more than 35 individuals.

The accused’s solicitors had submitted a summons and application for bail to the court.

After hearing the counsels’ submissions and arguments, Justice Olawoyin postponed the decision on the bail motion until the 13th. January 2025.

The Nigerian Correctional Centre Agodi is where the suspects are presently being held on remand.
