Nollywood actor Ibrahim Chatta has revealed that he lost his first child at a hospital in Lagos due to his inability to pay the medical bills.

In a candid conversation captured on video while on a movie set, Chatta shared the emotional story with members of the film crew. He recounted how all attempts to gather funds during the child’s hospitalization in the Iddo area of Lagos were unsuccessful.

Reflecting on the painful memory, the actor disclosed that his deceased child was laid to rest in a makeshift coffin made from a wooden Coca-Cola crate.

The video was published on YouTube by Abiola Orisile Events & Parties.

He said, “Malik is not my firstborn. My first child is a baby girl. I lost her because I couldn’t pay hospital bills.

“She was taken to the hospital in the Iddo area of Lagos State. I trekked from Ijora Badia to Makoko, and I couldn’t get any money until she died. My first child was buried in the old wooden crate of Coke.”
