In a hilarious statement, former First Lady Michelle Obama explained why she is happy she didn’t have a son, saying that he would have been just like her husband, Barack Obama.

Michelle scoffed off the idea of parenting a boy when she appeared on a recent episode of “The Light Podcast” with her brother Craig Robinson and radio broadcaster Angie Martinez:

“I’m so glad I didn’t have a boy! Because he would’ve been a Barack Obama,” she quipped.

She acknowledged that any son they had would have struggled with the burden of becoming “Baby Barack.” Michelle accepted her brother’s joke that she just “borrowed” his sons instead.

Michelle Obama thoughtfully considered each phase of parenthood, from infancy until their independent adult life. The Obamas are parents to two daughters, Malia (age 26) and Sasha (age 24).

“Watching them grow into their own people… it’s been amazing,” she shared.
